First, do not call. Just send your dispute by mail. Avoiding the hassle of trying to reach a live human is worth the cost of a postage stamp.

Second, the government agency is the Federal Trade Commission. To file a complaint, go to https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ or call 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357).

You can complain to the Federal Trade Commission, but it will fall on deaf ears if you have not taken the steps the reporting agencies provide for you to protest something inaccurate on your report. They are not going to do that for you.

Take control of your life and do what you have to do. Don’t expect the government to fix this for you if you haven’t tried to fix it yourself. There are time-tested and proper methods to get this taken care of that work if you use them.

Sure, you are pissed off, but you are pissing us off by whining about being a victim when you can fix it. Sorry for the tough love. :)
