I have a credit card judgment on my credit report filed 2001. Do the same rules apply for judgement as debt reporting on the credit report therefore it should be removed 7 years from the date filed. BTW- I haven’t paid this judgment. Also have heard mixed things in terms of who to contact to have judgment removed. Should I first go to the credit bureaus for them to verify or should I go to the law collection agency?
Thanks
I have a judgement for non payment of rent from 07/01 on my credit report. Is there a time limit in the State of California for it to be removed off of my records?
When you have a judgement from an auto loan(Ford Motor Credit), can they also have a "running tab" more than the judgement, i.e- Judgement amount 18,000.00 and the same company joined with a collection agency for 28,000.00 and 4.75 a day interest! I was under the impression once they have a judgement that is it. Please advise
I am in need of a a loan. I know the rate will be high. Banks such as american general, wells fargo and citi will not lend me anything. not because of recent bad credit, but due to old bad credit. I only have 2 accounts with history over 12 months and the rest are all new 5 months or less. I need to only borrow around 5000. any help with this would be great. my score is low but like i said its not due to recent bad credit other than a judgement from 98 that showed up back in January. I have paid most of my collections off as well and still cannot seem to get help.
