Well here’s what I would probably do, ask some friends/family members if they are looking for a car. And if so, offer than a great deal to ‘rent’ the car until your lease is up.
For example, say your lease per month is $ 350 a month. Offer to rent it out to someone for say $ 200 a month.
That way, you’d only have to come up with $ 150 a month to keep on paying your lease. You (or your bf/hubby/partner, if you have one – sorry just guessing since you didn’t specify) can maybe work a few extra overtime hours a week or cut down on other expensive (no cable, no cell phone, etc) until the lease is up.
Just an idea, I know how tough such situations are, been there myself. But I’d much rather see you try to work it out than ruin your credit, you know?
